Jo Shimoda

A native of Japan, Jo’s family poured everything into getting their boy to America to chase AMA Supercross and Motocross glory. After arriving in California, Jo quickly made an impact on the scene as was tapped by the GEICO Honda program as an Amateur. Under the GEICO program, Jo’s talent blossomed, and he quickly became one to watch with his textbook style and creative approach to the track. After turning pro with GEICO Honda, the team unfortunately ceased operations after the 2020 season and Jo made the switch over to Pro Circuit Kawasaki. In 2021 he became the first Japanese rider to win an AMA Supercross and has been a front runner ever since.
