Steve Peat
You can call him “Peaty” or you can call him “Sheffield Steel”, but when it comes to getting people hyped on mountain bikes, you can never call him done. Hailing from Sheffield, England, Steve Peat began racing mountain bikes in the 1990s, winning everything there was to win, including three UCI World Championships, multiple World Cups (17 wins, 52 podiums), and multiple British and European Championships. While he hung up his racing helmet in 2016, Peaty is proving he ain’t done yet. This affable Englishman continues to build the stoke on MTB for riders young and old, and has recently taken on a more involved role the overall operation of the Santa Cruz Syndicate. Loved by all and a true icon, let's add one more name to that list—fan favorite.
